The ‘FX Star’ app allowed users to create their own music videos, lip-syncing along to their favourite tracks, and adding a splash of glamour or comedy to their performances with fun 3D filters.
The app launched to support TalkTalk's sponsorship of The X Factor in 2016 and in the 16 weeks the show was live for, 520.000 user videos were created.
Every week the best user videos were selected to air on TV during The X Factor ad breaks.
